Powder Day!

After a week of significant storms, the weather somewhat relented this weekend, which was perfect timing as Wella and I had planned a while ago to go snowboarding this weekend - so our timing meant that we got to go snowboarding in some of the best snow conditions that have happened over the last few years. Knee deep untracked powder is a rare, yet awesome, condition.

Amazingly enough, Sierra at Tahoe, the resort we went to, wasn't too busy (I personally think folks were scared about the potential for bad weather and bad road conditions - in reality, we got lucky and experienced neither).

You can see Wella in the above photo heading down the last part of our favorite run of the day - the left hand side of the run was all powder, fantastic conditions.

Any yes, for all you folks that claim this blog needs more people photos, here's one of me!


Finally, all that fresh powder is tiring - it wore us both out!
